Strangers we shall remain

Strangers we are, and
Strangers we shall remain.
Until
The moment
Our hearts beat in the same rhythm.

Apart you are from me,
Farther you shall be.
Until the time,
Your existence melts with mine.

Our lives crossed at an intersection.
I stood there waiting,
And you passed by.

You cruised along breezily,
Ruffling my quiet poise.
I was awakened from my reverie
While you stirred some noise.

But you were a stranger.
A guest who had stopped by.

Strangers we are,
After all this while.
And strangers we shall remain
Until the end of time.
