The mountains that stood proud,
And, intimidating,
Only until the marauders came,
Felt now threatened,
And, cracked under pressure.
Heavy, pregnant clouds
Loomed over the hills
Dangerously;
Collided finally, and
burst
Humans washed away mercilessly
Lives dispersed, scattered
Over the spaces, amid the hills
Men and women, once fascinated
By the tall mounts
Were washed away by waves,
If only
we had rescued mountains from men
We would not have to rescue men from mountains.
