My Voice

I have weathered and learned,
cactus triumphs
after every adversity is fought.

A long stemmed rose I am not!

A life tumbled through the spin 
Survived the worst, fate brought,
But, a wind tossed leaf I am not!

Let me bloom in the wild.
My free spirit finds no place
in your manicured lawns
